SAIC India, a branch of a US-headquartered international publicly-traded Fortune 500 corporation is currently looking for a “Service Desk Analyst” to work within our SP-Team-“Service Desk” based in Bangalore, India. Main duties and responsibilities.
To Maintain and Support on “logging faults and providing 1st level Tech support over Telephone
Duties include:
* Receive and record all service requests via email, telephony and web interfaces
* Provide initial assessment of service requests and make a first attempt at resolution and or refer to second line and third party support based on agreed service levels
* Monitor and escalate all service requests according to agreed service levels
* Keep customers informed on the status of all service requests ensuring ownership is retained
Candidates must possess:
The ability to work in a team environment
Interpersonal Skills
Very Good/Excellent Communication Skills
Self motivation
Experience of the following would be desirable:
3 months-2 Years of Experience on working in an IT related Customer support Environment/Help Desk. We prefer candidates from Call Centre Experience.
Technical Skills Required:
Essential:
* A proven understanding of IT terminology, perhaps from previous studies or work experience
* A good understanding of the range of hardware and software within IT
* Keyboard skills
* Analytical and problem solving skills
Desirable:
Novell Certified Netware Administrator CNA or above
ITIL certification / working knowledge
Interpersonal Skills:
* Excellent English language and communication skills
* Customer facing attributes and interpersonal skills
* Team player
* Ability to work in a busy environment
* UK hours work
Essential: Science/Arts/Computer Graduate [Any Degree/Diploma]
Desirable:
· UNIX, WINDOWS and NOVELL (CNA) Knowledge
· ITIL Certifications
Employment: Permanant-Full Time.
