Job Description:
1) Responsible for project management and deliverables.
2) Responsible for operation, maintenance and upgrades / enhancements of all applications in the organization.
3) Responsible for understanding the set-up and functionality of all application systems operated.
4) Basic functionality is to understand the requirements of all functional departments and to provide these with the necessary applications for their daily business.
5) Works closely with all levels of the business in order to define new system requirements.
6) Submits and follows-up on requests for system enhancements and system defect resolution.
7) Co-ordinates all requests for data and/or reports from the system.
8) Works with all functional areas of the operation to standardize data entry and workflow.
9) Works with operation to define appropriate application set-up and processes to implement new business products.
10) Performs regular audits of data entry in all functional areas to assess quality of data input and adherence to data entry/process standards. Performs remedial training as necessary.
11) Delivers training to all users of the computer systems including new employee training, new release training and remedial training when indicated.
12) Undertakes the acceptance testing of new system functions.
PEOPLE WITH EXPERIENCE IN INSURANCE INDUSTRY SHOULD ONLY APPLY
Desired Candidate Profile:
1) Structured business analysis training or related work experience
2) Work experience in the insurance industry - preferably in a production, claims processing, medical or network management department of an insurance company with medical products or a TPA company.
3) Work experience co-ordinating between application users and developers.
4) Experience interacting with all levels of management and external clients.
4) Degree in business management or computer science or related work experience.
5) Minimum 5to 8experience as project manager in IT
6) A strong balance of business acumen and technical skills.
7) In depth knowledge of all the functional areas of Health insurance operation.
8) An analytical approach to problem solving.
9) Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
10) Excellent command of the English language.
11) Technical writing skills.
12) Exposure to Oracle data base is an added advantage
