Job Description:
Create and translate design comps and prototypes into production-quality templates, with a focus on long-term adaptability of solution.
Candidates will work as part of a multidisciplinary design team that includes, in addition to the web designer, the following roles: software engineers, interaction designers and marketing professionals.
Candidate will be expected to perform design duties in collaboration with these other roles.
Designer should expect that input from these other roles will typically impose constraints on the design space, and should welcome that Candidate is expected to demonstrate an interest in and aptitude for understanding the business, and a positive, 'can-do', attitude.
Communicate with Technology teams and help define style standards and/or best practices.
Ability to effectively manage and execute numerous projects simultaneously with minimal supervision
Applicants will need to present an online portfolio of previous projects.(Provide URL of websites created)
Desired Candidate Profile:
Expertise in (X) HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Expert with graphic design tools like Photoshop and Illustrator.
Experience with Dreamweaver and Flash preferred.
Knowledge of web standards(W3C) and cross browser issues.
Strong understanding of visual and graphics design, including how these are impacted by page layout, typography, color and icon selections.
Reasonable understanding of principles of information architecture, interaction design, communication design, usability and accessibility.
